Description: Students will learn how to choose a fleece and how to prepare a fleece for spinning as
well as learning how to spinning.
You will need to bring: If you have your own
wheel, you are encouraged to bring it with you. Students should bring
a pencil, notebook, scotch tape and wear work clothes. Wool for
spinning will be provided.

Description: Marilyn has written a book on
beginning weaving and she will be
using it in the class.
You will warp up the loom following her
instructions. You will be doing six
different samplers when finished can
be put into your book as reference
information. You need to bring
pencil or pen, scissors, and tape
measure. The use of a loom and all
material included is in the price of
the class.

Description: The small loom with the funny name is great for
weaving belts, Guitar straps, handles for tote bags -
even jewelry! This workshop covers selecting yarn,
selecting warping and weaving on inkle looms, books
and projected possibilities.
Looms are provided for the day at a fee of $5.00 extra.

Rag Rug Weaving Basic with Leslie Johnson

Description: Rag rug weavers were the original
recyclers, turning Mom's old house dresses or Dad's work clothes or
Aunt Ethel's chenille bedspreads into rugs for the home, from the
mudroom to the kitchen, bedrooms, bath and front stairs. In this
class, find out what you need to weave a good rag rug and some of the
tricks of the trade, from selecting a loom, rags, warp and shuttles to
weaving and finishing the rug.
